You can tell a lot about a person from what they buy.

For Jason, it is a lonely thing being a grocery store clerk on Valentines Day. After watching crowds of people blindly purchasing last minute flowers, candy and gifts, he starts to question their sincerity. "If anyone truly cared, it wouldn't be like this," Jason observes.

After almost all the customers have left for their Valentines Day obligations, a beautiful girl catches Jason's eye. When she asks Jason for help locating the peculiar combination of cat food and bean dip, he decides that she too is alone. Jason must now attempt to overcome his acute shyness and express his interest towards her.

18th Annual Dallas Video Festival
June 20, 2005
We are extremely proud to announce that Cat food & Bean dip was accepted to the 18th Annual Dallas Video Festival. The Dallas Video Festival is the oldest and the largest video festival in the nation. Since 1986, they have specialized in fiercely independent, imaginative, unusual, provocative and sometimes description-defying electronic media. Click HERE to see what the press says about the festival.

Cat food & Bean dip will be screened during The Texas Show, which features films produced in Texas or by Texas artists. We were one of 11 films accepted out of 123 eligible.

Dusty and I are so excited to be able to attend a screening of C&B here in our hometown of Dallas. We are encouraging everyone within reasonable distance (and we do consider a Southwest Airline flight from LA to Dallas reasonable, Rich) to attend this festival with us. It is our goal to take over that theater with our entourage.

This is a wonderful Festival. We hope everyone can come out and support local independent filmmaking.

DV Film Festival
November 15, 2004
We are proud to announce our very first short film Cat food & Bean dip was just accepted into the 2004 DV Expo Film Festival out in LA. We are 1 of 16 short films selected out of over 300 submitted.

Many said we'd never make it into a film festival. We agreed. Despite ourselves, our first short film snuck past this film festival's panelists and we couldn't be happier. We owe much credit to all those who helped us by donating their time and their belief in the project.

Finite
October 2, 2004
Our next short film, Finite, is already in the works. Rich McDonald (not yet tired of us making him do a scene 50 times) returns to One More Time films staring as an evil robot with a heart of gold. He battles a state social worker, played by Gwendolyn Murphy, and the bureaucratic system to regain custody of his adopted human child. What the state doesn't know is his intentions to turn his son into a cyborg trained to take over the Earth. Hilarity ensues.

If you believe anything I just wrote, do the following: 1. Find wall 2. Place head against wall 3. Repeat, harder.

Ok, so this isn't actually the film we're making...but it's the one we wanted to make.

C&B
Well, Cat food & Bean dip is finally in the can. Eric made a comment once that I thought was dead on: After having watched 'Cat food & Bean dip' several hundred times, we have lost all objectivity and we don't know if its a 'good movie' or not. At least you know we're honest. We've submitted it to a few film festivals and we're keeping our hopes low. We rather be surprised should someone actually screen it.

In the meantime, we'll be using this site to post about our next short film FINITE, any festival progress of Cat food & Bean dip, and any random thoughts that come to mind. At the bottom of each post is a place to click and add your own comments to whatever we spew from our feeble minds.
